I recently took a trip to San Francisco and spent the day on an Alcatraz Island Tour. Below are pictures I took of San Francisco from Alcatraz island. Alcatraz offers a great 360 degree view you can't get anywhere else. The tour at Alcatraz is an audio tour that leads you through Alcatraz prison and tells many famous stories. Because Alcatraz is a national park you can walk around most of the island unguided. There are other tours offered by park rangers but for the most part you are on your own.
