The Boulevard Restaurant, located in the San Francisco waterfront area, has been voted the best in the Bay area for a number of years since 1993. The Boulevard Restaurant is housed in the historic three-story French-style Audiffred Building at the corner of Mission and Steuart across from Ferry Plaza. From the wooden turnstile entrance to the floors of peacock mosaics, the interior atmosphere is one of warmth and intimacy. The Boulevard Restaurant has three distinct rooms, with art nouveau glass light fixtures, wonderful views, and delicate ironwork. Lunch hours are from 11:30 to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and the restaurant is open for dinner Sunday through Thursday, from 5:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, from 5:30 to 10:30 p.m.

The outstanding chef of the Boulevard Restaurant, Nancy Oakes, prepares a variety of American, Asian, Latin American, and Mediterranean cuisine. Some of the lunch specialties include sea scallops and truffles, calamari, tuna tartare, grilled herb lamb, and wood oven roasted pork tenderloin. There is a wide selection of dinner entrees and appetizers, such as crab legs with papaya and mango, linguine carbonara with lobster, and stuffed duck breast with mushrooms, chestnuts, cranberries, and herbs. The fabulous desserts at the Boulevard Restaurant include chocolate plum cake, black forest mousse cake, and toffee pudding brulee. In addition, the Boulevard Restaurant has an extensive wine list and several types of regional and Asian tea.
