Knuckles Sports Bar - Hyatt Hotel - San Francisco California 555 North Point Street Fisherman's Wharf So I normally only create travel pages for places that I recommend going. In this case its a mixed bag because if you want to watch sports in the Fisherman's Wharf area of San Francisco you don't have a lot of choice. I should preface this by stating that I've been to Knuckles Sports Bar multiple times and each time found the service poor. However when I need to catch a Minnesota game I find the facilities at Knuckles Sports Bar to be very nice so I'm not saying don't go to Knuckles, just have your expectations set. As you can see below there are plenty of TV sets for everyone and even a nice private room in back with a 42 inch plasma TV. What makes me complain is the basic apathy towards the customer. Here is a prime example. I wander in and sit at a table in front of a set with the Minnesota/Dallas game on. The second quarter just started. It was fifteen minutes before anyone even came over to see if I'd like a beer. Then I order a beer and a menu, the menu appears but I don't get my beer until another server noticed I'd been there for 30 minutes. The manager even wandered around talking to customers and managed to pass by my empty table. Finally its half time and my beer shows up and I'm able to order. I've got to say that I've always enjoyed the food so just manage your expectations and maybe even order at the bar if you are hungry or in a hurry. I could have grabbed someone but I was dumfounded I'd sit so long and after awhile it because a game to see just how long they would let someone sit with no beer in a sports bar. |
