Pier 39 is San Francisco's most popular tourist attraction and the third most visited destination in the US. Every day, thousands of tourist flock to the Pier 39 to enjoy the 110 stores, the excellent dining, and for a chance to hop the ferry to Alcatraz.

Street performers at Pier 39 take to Crystal Geyser ALPINE SPRING WATER Center Stage daily, dazzling the visitors with magic tricks, juggling feats, and mimes performances. Shows are presented six times a day starting at 12 pm and until 7 pm. Pier 39 is also home to the San Francisco Carrousel, handcrafted and handpainted in Italy, and to the Turbo Ride, a turbulent 3D and 4D experience where riders can live through a visit to a dinosaur island or a trip through a haunted mine. The most memorable Pier 39 attraction, however, are the sea lions. Here since 1990, the colony spends its days frolicking in the sun under the watchful eye of thousands of San Francisco tourists.

Other popular Pier 39 attractions include the bay tour offered by The Blue & Gold Boat Company, and Forbes Island, the world's only man-made floating island.

Pier 39 is located on Fisherman's Wharf, between Beach Street & The Embarcadero. The best way to get there is by heading to Market Street and taking the historic trolley that runs all the way to the waterfront. If you're driving, there's a convenient 24-hours parking garage right across the street from the Pier. Although hours vary, most shops and restaurants are open until late at night.
