Robert Mondavi Winery Napa
California If you are visiting Wine Country one of the Wineries I always recommend visiting is Robert Mondavi. Not just because they are my favorite winemaker but because if your time is limited you'll get the most for your visit because this is a beautiful winery that offers a great tour and fantastic wine tasting. This is a winery I repeatedly visit each time I head to Napa Valley. Being a member of their wine club doesn't hurt as the wine tasting is free and the wine served is fantastic. If you are not a member, wine tasting is typically four for $20.00 and while your drinking your wine you can stroll the grounds, visit the museum or shop in their wine store. My favorite wine is the Robert Mondavi Carneros Merlot which was only $28.99 for wine club members. * As of 11/29/04 we were notified that Robert Mondavi Winery has been bought by Constellation Brands and as a result the Ensemble Wine Club from Rober Mondavi is no longer offered * The new owner Constellation Brands may offer a club but no information is known at this time. Robert Mondavi Winery Museum Room One of the more fascinating rooms at the Robert Mondavi Winery is what I would consider a museum. On the wall you can read about the history of the Robert Mondavi winery and its wines. This makes for a great place to enjoy one of your tastings while you read about the rich history of the winery. Its also a nice place to escape the summer heat.
Winery Tour Robert Mondavi Winery - Napa California Going inside the winery at Robert Mondavi is pretty cool as the inside of the building has a neat old world look. The tour takes you to places the general public cannot go without a guide. Check out the cellar below with all the wine casks.
