A visit to San Francisco that doesn’t include a stop at Mortons Steakhouse, on Union Square, is like a trip to San Francisco without the Golden Gate Bridge. Mortons Steakhouse, located at 400 Post Street, Lower Level, is a real adventure in dining. Rated as one of the finest restaurants in the nation, Mortons Steakhouse features a menu without prices, but offers the general suggestion that “the price of a dinner for two averages about 170 dollars.” This of course does not include gratuity or tax. Local parking is just 18.00 dollars for the first three hours. Dining hours at Mortons Steakhouse are 5:30 P.M. to 11:00 PM, Monday thru Saturday. On Sunday it’s 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The bar opens daily at 5:00.

Mortons Steakhouse, located in Union square offers many shopping opportunities. It’s just a short walk from all of the big name Union Square hotels. Also, if you want a private dining experience at Mortons Steakhouse, it’s available.  Prime Rib is so special at Morton’s that they suggest you order it when making reservations—although walk-ins are welcome at Mortons Steakhouse. The prime rib is a double cut of aged beef, served medium rare with bone in. Perhaps you’d rather just have a lobster? That’s excellent too. The dress code isn’t too stuffy. A sports coat—without tie—and dress shirt is perfectly fine to wear.
