The Beringer Winery in St. Helena California is one of the largest wineries that I visited in Wine Country. Beringer Winery has a stately grounds with lush vegetation, a huge winery and very large tasting rooms and wine purchasing areas. Beringer Winery tours are held between 10:30am and - 5:00pm every hour. The cost for most Beringer Winery tours is $5.00 but there are more extensive and more expensive tours offered by Beringer. Inside the Beringer winery you can walk around a bit and look at old oak casks and prowl the tunnels in the winery. The Beringer winery tour will take you much further into the Beringer winery but you can still see a lot just on your own. Apart from the Beringer winery building is a house called Rhine House. Here the reserve wine tasting is done as well as more wine and Beringer accessories sales. You can drink out on the porch of the Rhine House and enjoy the grounds at Beringer Winery. There is also plenty of common areas outside with tables so you can drink your wine outside the winery.
